A delicous, blue grey kabocha that keeps well and gets sweeter as it stores. This squash doesn't reach its best eating quality until 2 months after it's picked (about the end of November), so buy it now and use it as a decoration until then. It's the hippest shade of gray there is.
These kabochas are what I use for "pumpkin" pies or anything that calls for pumpkin. They are dense and sweet and drier than pumpkins.
These come to approx $2/pound.
Half squashes are cut in half and wrapped in a plastic bag. These are not intended for storage and certainly not for decoration. They will be offered once we deem this variety at it's best for eating.
